SARAH IS BACK!
Hi guys! It’s Sarah! I’m back!
Well, no I’m not entirely back, I’m just stepping in temporarily for the day so I can brag about Margo and embarrass her the wonderful way she did for me, and also I want to tell you about some of people in my network that have made it possible for me to run my business and, well, be able to handle all of this.
Wait, so are you back or not? Way to confuse people, SKP.
Fair. So, here’s the scoop:
After spine surgery and nerve damage throughout my left leg, the doctors estimated that I’d be able to return to “normal functioning” around 8 to 12 weeks post-surgery, which puts me back to work around June 1st.
Plus, recovering from surgery and recovering from sleep deprivation are two different beasts, and I’m working on both. #ExhaustedParentsNeedMoreSleep

Ha! Okay, enough about spine surgery and medical drama and life updates.
But also, if you want to see me looking completely exhausted, here it is — my dad and my stepmom came out to visit while I’ve been in the repair and recovery phase.

Okay, so I’ve been cleared by the doctors to come back online about 50% in May, so I’m able to dig in just enough to completely panic about all the balls that have dropped, I mean, move things forward and rebuild after such an unexpected and lengthy time away.
But wait, WORK IS NOT A PLACE FOR LIFE UPDATES **eyeroll emoji.** Whoever said we can do work in a vacuum completely devoid of all other life things must have been extremely lucky to never have an illness or unexpected event come up.
Or they had a wife or mother taking care of it for them.
That reminds me of the book you told me about, Who Cooked Adam Smith’s Dinner, about the fact that this famous economist that American education teaches about—he had all of his dinners and meals prepared by none other than:
